I had a sales call today where the person was basically demanding I sell him something…
This guy was already doing $500k a month in revenue…
And he already had copywriters helping him with a VSL, which is my main bread and butter.
(VSL for all you non-copywriters is a Video Sales Letter, long form video intended to sell shit.)
So it wasn’t immediately clear to me, if or how I could help him and I expressed that to him…
But he still ends up asking me how much it costs to work with me.
And I told him, “I don’t know because I don’t know what problem I’m solving for you.”
“Ahhh yeah man…I get it”
“So what would you say is your main problem?”
After some digging, eventually, we got to the heart of the issue…
The only problem this guy had was that he needs to start growing his personal brand…
And he’s just avoiding the commitment to that, because it does take some effort.
A team can mitigate most of it, but there’s still the initial energy required to get the momentum of that project spinning.
He knew this was the problem he needed to solve…
But he was trying to solve other problems to almost in a way avoid this problem…
Maybe there are some limiting beliefs, lack of clarity, or personal stuff involved…
I don’t build personal brands, so there’s not any way I can help him…
But I 100% related with him because I’ve seen the exact problem show up in my own life in multiple ways.
The solution is just a commitment…
And I wanted to share this experience while keeping the prospect anonymous because this gives you a pretty damn good question to ask yourself…
“What would happen in 3 months if you stopped putting off the commitments YOU KNOW you need to make?”
